Obituary of George J. Schopperth

George J. Schopperth, age 76, Haledon died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital in Wayne, NJ. George was born April 27, 1938 in Paterson, NJ. He is the son of the late George A and the late Violet E. (Nuy) Schopperth. He served in the United States Navy. He was a truck driver for Grocery Haulers in Avenel, NJ for 19 years and retired in 2000. He is survived by his wife: Shirley M. (Wenderoth) Schopperth and his two daughters: Lisa Lopez of Wantage, NJ and Donna Mott of Haledon, NJ. He is also survived by his brother: Larry Schopperth of Kinnelon, NJ and his eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Ann Gibilisco. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, March 5 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ. Entombment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ . Visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 4 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at DeLuccia - Lozito Funeral Home, 265 Belmont Avenue, Haledon, NJ.
